Mila's 1-st birthday

Mila, is the youngest daughter of my wife's older brother, Lorenz. He is the one busy with the barbeque. He lives/owns a very nice cattle ranch, situated about 150km West of Port Elizabeth.

Kangoo Cave

I never had the time but here they are: a few pics taken with my old and trusted N95-8Gig cell phone, during our last holiday. We went to Buffels Bay, a small Village on the south coast of South Africa, about 350Km East of Cape Town. Well, the pictures you see here are from our last day, while on the way back. We did not come strait home, but detoured a bit and visited the famous Kangoo caves close to Oudsoren. I believe the 2 pictures are Geotagged (use the program Picassa together with GoogleEarth to view the location)

Another day, another story.

Here am I, returning to base after one of my assignments. On the right is the pilot, while on the left sits the navigator. Both are good buddies of mine. The navigator I know long before I come to Port Elizabeth, some 10+ years ago.

Fri 2009/02/20 11:29 26-10-2008 Birthday Party. After moving to Humansdorp, my children took a few weeks to make new friends. Humansdorp is not very far from Jeffrey's and at first I saw this as a advantage. However,my children wanted me to drive them the 15 km to Jeffreys, just about every afternoon, because all their friends where there. Thanks God, now they have a few friends here in Humansdorp too :-)

Sun 2009/02/15 11:17 Geotagged picture. My 4 years old son was very much 'involved' in our 30minutes, frantic search, for our cat 'Jinksy'. Eventually he found it . . . on the roof, basking in the sun.

Sun 2009/02/08 12:12 2009-02-08 Mario and the Snap-100. Today I have tried for the first time, to get my Paramotor 'up'. The wing is my old one - no suprises there. But, oh man, it has a different 'feel' to it. Of course, carrying 30Kg on your back, does't make it any easier and the 'hi' hanging points force me to lengthen the toggles (control lines) by about a foot. Well, at least I've learned now, a 'forward' launch is not my cup me tea. Lets hope next time I will be 'up and away'.
