I and my uncle going up the Mountain :-)

Ha Ha, the title rimes a bit. I remember very well the day I took this picture. Uncle Dan and I decided to go up the mountain to a forest house he has up there. It was damn cold but not freezing. At first we walked slowly thru a narrow valley but later we had to cut a new trail thru the snow. it was nice but tiring. Fortunately my uncle knows the place very well and he carried most of the stuff. Not bad for a 70+ year old man. Tx for a nice day uncle Dan.

I took this pic while driving back from the city of Cimpulung in Romania. It was very cold outside (below freezing) and the willow tree was completely frozen up :-)

The vacation was not long. The school start tomorrow and we had to be back in time (sadly) Nevertheless we all had a stunning time :-)

While flying between Kabeljous lagoon and Gamtoos river mouth, Bastjan (fellow pilot) took this stunning pic with his cell phone! Believe it or not, this is one of a handful of pics I have of myself paramotoring. Tx Bastjan, it was a pleasure flying with you.

Bastjan (now a friend of mine) came down to the coast for a visit. After a few cell phone messages, we linked up and went for two nice flights around Jeffrey's Bay.

My first Paramotor flight . . . after a long break.

Yesterday I went to the Kabeljous lagoon, to fly with my paramotor. I use to fly it fairly regularly, until I had a smallish stroke about 7 months ago and got grounded :-( 

This time around I had a flight plan and sticked to it. Usually I fly without a flight plan (bad habit).  I took of and flew down the beach in a Southerly direction until I arrived in St.Francis Bay where I took a few shots of the recently burned houses. Then I flew back to Kabeljous for a nice landing. A 40 Km round trip. It was a bit turbulent but not enough to spoil the day :-)

Do you notice the fire damage? Somewhere on this blog is a earlier picture of the same location. If I stumble upon it i will post it again for comparison. What a sad image :-(
